Milani Bella Eyes Gel Powder Eyeshadows

Hi everyone! I’m back with another review. This time I decided to talk about Milani Bella Eyes Gel Powder Eye Shadows. Before I jump to my thoughts, I wanted to write down a little description and details from Milani website regards to this product. If you are familiar with these eye shadows and you just want to hear my thoughts, you can scroll down and right after pictures you will get to that 😉

Together there are 31 shade for these eye shadows which I think is pretty damn good for a drugstore product. As the name already says, these are considered as gel powder eye shadows.  ?!  Milani describes it like this: “the formula starts as a gel and then is transformed by a special process into a stunning powder eye shadow with pure color and power wear. The unique process allows you to blend this incredibly innovative, weightless formula easily with your fingertips to light up your eyes.” This product can be used wet and dry, resists creasing and comes in satin matte, shimmer and iridescent metallic finishes. Is it? Does it perform in a way it is described? Before I say what I think, let’s take a look on the product closeup.

If you noticed – gold eye-shadow appears only in the collage, but is missing in the beginning + swatches 😀 That’s because I bought those 3 eye-shadows at first and only recently picked up additionally that gold color. I hope you don’t mind 😉

So first of all, about the consistency. It is definitely a unique product. It feels very soft and even a bit bouncy when you touch it. It comes out pretty pigmented when you try it on your fingertips, but when you swatch it on your hand, it is not that pigmented. However, you can easily build it up. If you use it dry, I would recommend to use ONLY fingertips (if you want that pigmentation), cause with a brush (with stiff bristles) you will get only a wash off a color. If you use it wet, you can use both – fingertips or brush.

As you can see in the pictures I own 4 colors:
♦ 01 Bella Ivory – light color with a bit of pink undertone. On the packaging it says it has a satin matte finish, but it does have shimmers in it, so it is definitely not matte.
♦ 17 Bella Khaki – khaki color with green and gold shimmers. Shimmer finish.
♦ 18 Bella Emerald – forest green color with light green shimmers. Shimmer finish.
♦ 22 Bella Gold – super gold color (wit a bit copper tone) in metallic finish.

As far as I have played around with these eye shadows, I do like them a lot. Specially when use them wet. I used the gold shade on my model and it did last all day without creasing + super good pigmentation. Here is one picture from the photo-shoot with that gold shade all over the lids:

Warm Fall

I think it looks gorgeous!!! 🙂 These eye shadows are not expensive (in my country they were 5.99 EUR), but in Milani website (so I guess in the United States) the price is 4.49 USD. I personally love the fact that sometimes when you are missing some kind of very bold, unique, interesting color, Milani offers a quite nice color range for the eye shadows + for a good price 😉 AND the packaging looks pretty luxurious (however, it’s from light plastic).

And I thought I probably won’t be able to say a lot about this product…. 😀 yeah… I was.. 😀 Hope you found this post useful or interesting to read and I hope to see you back in my next post which probably will be about MAC foundation 🙂

Have an awesome day 😉
