NYX Mineral Stick foundation

Hi!
As contouring is quite a huge thing for some time, I wanted to share my thoughts on NYX Mineral Stick foundation that I use for such purpose. As you will see in the pictures below, I got much darker shade than my complexion so I could use it for contouring.

Description from the NYX website: “Portable and buildable, our Mineral Stick Foundation is ideal when you’re on the move. The luxurious formula is easy to apply and extremely blendable, which allows for flawless highlighting and contouring. You can also use this versatile foundation on the entire face or in isolated areas that need a little extra attention – it’s all up to you!”

This is in the shade Caramel, which is a light warm brown color. As I mentioned before I use this stick for contouring/giving extra warmth to my face. This foundation is very creamy and easily to blend so I like this product more than some other contouring products. Also, the coverage is pretty decent and that’s what I like, cause you can achieve very natural look, or, by building this product – pretty extreme look. My skin color is fair, with warm undertones, so I’m ok with this shade, however, for contouring purposes it would be better to have something in neutral color – not too warm and not too grey-toned. But as I always go over with powder contour products, I can work with it.

I would totally agree with NYX description that this is more for contouring, cause I feel like it would be too greasy for using all over the face. Coverage might be ok, but combination/oily skin people probably would get pretty oily in the T zone during the day. I would recommend to use these stick for highlighting and contouring only, but if you have it already and it works fine as all-over foundation – that’s cool 🙂  Oh, one thing – I would recommend to set this product, cause it feels quite creamy on the face once applied.

Price for it is 10$ which is kinda ok if you have found your perfect shade, but if you like to mix and match your shade or need creamy contouring products for your clients too, I would suggest to buy contouring palettes, cause it will be much more affordable and useful.
