L’Oreal Nude Magique Cushion Foundation

As you might have noticed, cushion foundations, that originally come from Korea, are very popular now. A lot of brands are coming out with their version, and this time I will introduce you with L’Oreal Nude Magique Cushion Foundation. But before that – a little bit about cushion foundations in general.

These type of foundations are originally with sheer coverage, package is pretty bulky, because it protects foundation from air. It comes with applicator (sponge) and inside – pore sponge that is soaked in foundation. To apply it, you have to tap your applicator on the sponge and tap it on your face. Mostly these foundations will be meant more for dry/normal skin, but there are some brands that offers mattifying one too. L’Oreal Cushion foundation claims to work on dry to combination skin. For dry skin – 100%, for combination – only if you set your face with mattifying powder. But now – closeup pictures…

As you can see on the back of this product – this is dewy glow foundation, which is meant for people with dry skin, thought – people with combination skin does have some areas on their face that are drier, so it’s perfect for it. If you have combo skin, apply powder on your T-zone and leave the rest of your face without it, to make it look fresh and dewy.

On the right side you can see the applicator sponge and closeup with pore sponge which is full of foundation. A little tip – once your foundation comes to the end, flip the sponge reversely.

I got the shade Nr C3 Creamy Natural and even if I was scared of using this color on myself, cause I am a little pale, it worked nicely. It has sheer coverage, but you can build it up to light-medium coverage. It does have natural glowy finish, but not too shiny.

I always stay away from dewy foundations, cause I have combination skin, but this one intrigued me. On me it did get quite shiny after few hours of wearing when I skipped powder, but with it on top – it looked very natural and skin-like. I think it would work AMAZING on people with dry skin, cause it didn’t emphasized any dry area on my face, plus it felt very fresh.

Another thing that I really like – it is so convenient to carry it in your bag. It has a mirror and applicator, so you can reapply it anywhere and you don’t have to carry around buffing or kabuki brushes. Also – good for taking it with you to the beach, cause it has SPF 29, so you can look good and stay protected while having a good time near the beach. Or – apply it after beach, when your skin might be a little bit red from the sun and look fresh again πŸ™‚

The biggest plus for this foundation is it’s skin-like finish. You simply don’t see it on your face, it blends into the skin so nicely. Noone will notice πŸ™‚

These type of foundations are a bit pricey, but I think it’s worth to try, especially if you have dry skin.
